The Samarkand Neighborhood Association (SNA) works to promote the common good of our community. SNA enhances communication between residents and city leaders through candidate forums, meetings with city leaders, news letters, and information posted on (bylaws)

SNA meetings are open - membership is not required for attendance or participation.  SNA generally meets on the third Thursday of the month in the Mountain Room at the Samarkand Retirement Community. (map)

SNA takes positions on local issues to provide city leaders and staff with the perspectives of our residents. SNA informs residents of city events and actions of particular concern to our neighborhood.

SNA also promotes neighborhood improvement and good city planning through our participation in and support of the Allied Neighborhoods Association, a 501C-4 corporation and umbrella group of neighborhood associations.

SNA is incorporated under the laws of the state of California as a "social welfare" (not charitable) non-profit organization (#2902530).
